Paradise Ridge forms a nature lover’s playground, with sand dunes and
hills surrounded by lush fynbos and forest areas. It offers breathtaking views of the coastline, mountains and lakes with plenty of activities to entertain you with. From the top of the ridge you can see from Gerickes point to Mossel Bay with the latter’s lights most evenings clearly.
The land offers a variety of plant species (mostly fynbos), different kinds of trees of which most are evergreen, a huge variety of bird species (among these are the fish eagle and kingfishers), and various animals and bucks that roam the land freely making it the perfect place for bird watching, camping, and hiking. A short walk down the ridge will get you to the beach which is great for fishing enthusiasts. From July to … you can watch the whales play just offshore whilst dolphin sightings are common all year round.

Paragliding Paradise Ridge
Paradise Ridge is a beautiful ridge overlooking the sea and a popular spot for paragliders. Michael from Luftikus, a German Paragliding School first saw the potential for a great paragliding site in 2006. Since then international pilots and local pilots frequently make use of the site either for training, tandems or for the qualified pilots some hours of fun and ridge soaring.
The number of groups of international paragliders that visit the site grows each year as the site becomes more popular. The site works in any southerly wind direction with a western or easterly wind component due to its brilliant anabatic phenomenon. In summer the site proves to be consistent from about 10h00 in the mornings onwards.
