On the banks of the Kowie Rivier and ideally situated between Port Elizabeth and East London, Mansfield Private Game Reserve lies nestled among 1 000acres of lush, undulating grassland and thornveld plateaus.
Vegetation here is typical Eastern Cape sweetveld and bush, with the landscape and kloofs providing the ideal habitat for rare Cycads and Sneezewood, Yellowwood and Knobthorn trees, to name but a few. Find a wide variety of game to view.
The Reserve has a Farmhouse and Reception with an Eagles Nest Log Cabin which has a stunning view point of the Kowie River. There are three platform areas which offer a very basic type of accommodation. Each unit consists of wooden floor, a roof and is covered on three sides with 80% shade cloth. The fron of the unit is open, but has a roll
down shade cloth blind. Each unit has its own hot water shower, toilet and basin. A generator supplies power to the platform.
There is 8 camp sites which are about 50m from the Kowie River.
