One of the houses, next to the main house, can be used as a separate, well-equipped guest cottage with an elevated view towards the Seekoei river valley. It surely will captivate your guests, whether family or friends.
This building also houses a cold room/butchery, laundry room, workshop, storeroom, loft, and a double garage. Main house and the guest cottage in the valley enjoy most privacy. The third house, 300m apart on the hill, is located closer to the farm’s entrance and can potentially serve as a guardian’s or caretakers home. The present tenants have offered to stay on in such a function.
All three houses are completely off the grid. There are solar panels, a borehole and a dam for water supply. All buildings are well connected to the world by Internet. The farm is self-sufficient and it is deeply enclosed by nature and the peace that comes with it.
The present owners, originally from Germany, fell in love with the farm’s unique setting after they had settled in St. Francis Bay for a while. They bought this place in 2002. After a challenging period of renovating and building, they decided to move there permanently, and spent the next 23 years on this farm. Still today they are enthusiastic about its privacy, beauty, and the sustainable lifestyle it offers.
