Exclusive Mandate
Little bit of history of this area where this Agriculture Holding is situated:
The town Koppies was founded in 1910 and obtained municipal status in 1926. It got its name derived from the name of the farm it was laid out on, Heuningkopjes. This was also the name of the railway halt, but in order to avoid confusion with Heuningspruit, a station to the south, it was shortened to Kopjes or now Koppies. Preceding the town was the establishment of a settlement, Roodepoort in 1907, this was about 5 kilometers north-west from Koppies village. It was established by Christiaan de Wet, the Boer war general. He had a dam built, the Roodepoort Dam, and sold irrigation plots below the dam wall. This was done to alleviate poverty by providing the occupiers with the means to earn
